Trim Company is a custom cabinetry and finish carpentry business located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We are a family owned and operated business and pride ourselves on quality craftmanship handed down through generations.
We have over 25 years of experience in the custom cabinetry and finish carpentry trades. Although most of our business is located in the Chicago area, we also do out-of-state projects on occassion, when requested.

Our Services
Our expert services include the following:
- Design Assistance: We have many years of experience in building custom cabinetry, mantels, trim and more for your home. We will visit your home and offer our expertise and advice to assist you every step of the way with your decisions.
- Trim: Many stock moldings to choose from or will replicate moldings that can't be found. We demo old moldings and remove all debris. All moldings installed with a coped inside joint, and glue and miter outside corners and continuation joints. Scribe to any surface for tight fits. Painted or stained finishes. All nail holes filled. Paint grade trim caulked and painted. Also, simple repairs such as repairing unglued or shifting joints.
- Built-Ins: Custom built-ins can be done from architectural blueprints, owners drawing or our own customized shop drawings. From priming to on-site finishing, painting or a high-end buffed finish.
- Mantels: Custom to store bought. Painted or Stained finishes. Modifying pre-owned mantels for a proper fit to a new fireplace. We have salvaged old mantels and brought them back to life. We once striped a mantel of 5 coats of paint to get to a beautiful mahogany (my favorite recycling story.)
- Roll outs: Convert any shelf to a roll out. A maple dovetail drawer with a clear finish is the best value, although many styles to choose from.
- Shelving: Custom built to specifications or expert installation of store bought. Painted or Stained finishes. Turn your wasted space into a workable and beautiful storage area.
- Wainscoting: This is one of my favorite things to do. Greatly enhance any room at an affordable price. Creative custom styles to a straight beaded panel. Painted or stained finishes.
